2013 Shelby 1000 Mustang Hits the Streets

2013 Shelby 1000 Mustang Hits the Streets

BRIGHTON, Mich.- The 1100 horsepower 2013 Shelby 1000 Ford Mustang debuted at the New York Auto Show last week and muscle car-lovers will be excited to see some of the interesting modifications Shelby American has made to the most powerful Mustang in history! The 2013 Shelby 1000 starts off as a stock GT500 Ford Mustang, which is already the most powerful stock Mustang ever made, and begins with supercharging the 5.8- liter V-8 engine to almost double the horsepower. Then the exhaust, cooling, and suspension systems are all revamped to give the car the capability of handling between 950 and 1100 hp. The Shelby 1000 comes in two different models, a street legal version, which achieves 950hp using standard fuel, and a track car, that pushes out 1100hp using racing fuel. The Shelby 1000 appears very similar to the 662hp GT500 or the Shelby 850hp Super Snake to the eye, but under the hood it is the most powerful Mustang ever!

Shelby American is known for their amazing work with Ford Motor Company in creating extremely distinctive and rare Mustangs. They have achieved legendary recognition for building performance vehicles and the 2013 Shelby 1000 Ford Mustang is the most powerful aftermarket vehicle every produced by Shelby American.

The Shelby 1000 is being offered on a limited basis by Shelby American and must be reserved in advance.  Feel free to check out our 2013 Ford Mustang Brochure, and make it even more affordable with our Ford Mustang Rebates!
