Now, what exactly can we expect from the all-new 2016 Ford Focus RS? Let's just say, this model is said to come with a list of much stronger credentials than the previous model that was first launched in 2002. The word on the street is that the 2016 Ford Focus RS will have the 2015 Mustang's 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine underneath the hood, you know the one that produces 330 horsepower, and have the capability to hit a speed of 155 miles per hour! 

There are several performance cars that will be revealed at the 2015 NAIAS, but the all-new 2016 Ford Focus RS is expected to be the highlight of Ford's display. Rumors are swirling, saying that attendees will be completely surprised by Ford's latest and greatest performance cars which not only include the 2016 Ford Focus RS, but also a brand new version of the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST!

2014 Ford Fiesta ST Arrives in USA

BRIGHTON, Mich. - Attention all Ford lovers: the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST has finally arrived in the U.S.! While this vehicle has been available in Europe for a couple of decades now, it will be the first time that this car will be made available for Americans.

So what's the difference between the 2014 Ford Fiesta and the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST? Basically, the Ford Fiesta ST has a more powerful engine. This five-door 2014 ST will come with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 197 hp at 6,000 rpm and 214 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,500 rpm. The transmission has six speeds and a clutch pedal, which will allow the vehicle to go from 0-60 in 6.9 seconds.

As for fuel efficiency, the EPA hasn't been decided yet but is believed to be somewhere in the low 30s.

Along with the more powerful engine, the ST comes with a trapezoidal grill with honeycomb mesh (designed to optimize cooling), rear diffuser, ST body kit, spoiler, 17" wheels, optional Recaro seats, ST leather wrapped steering wheel, ST gear shift knob, aluminum pedals, dual chrome tipped exhaust, fog lamps, automatic temp. control, push button start, and larger brakes with rear discs - wow!

Ford Fiesta is Supreme Winner of Women's World Car of the Year Title

BRIGHTON, Mich. - The Ford Fiesta is the supreme winner of the Women's World Car of the Year title! The popular car emerged as the obvious winner in the Women's World Car of the Year competition, as various women motoring writers voted the vehicle number one in the economy car category. The judges also voted the Fiesta as the overall supreme winner award!

Each judge tested various 2013 model year cars and were then asked to use a three-tier voting system to determine the winner of each category. Categories ranged from Best Economy Car (Ford Fiesta) to Best Sports Car to Best Family Car. Each judge was then asked to rank the cars in the order that they preferred after the test drive, which were used to determine the supreme winner.

The Women's World Car of the Year awards is a competition that was formed to reflect the preferences of women buyers throughout the world. This competition is unique because it is the only international motoring award in the world that is voted on by women, for women. Women also represent a huge part of the market, so to win the supreme winner award means to capture the attention of this powerful and influential buying group.

The 2014 Ford Fiesta has also recently won the best-in-class fuel economy award, getting up to 41 mpg on the highway. This is possible because of the car's 1.6L Ti-VCT I-4 engine, electric power-assisted steering, and AdvanceTrac electronic stability control.

2014 Ford Fiesta Earns Best-in-Class 41 MPG

BRIGHTON, Mich. - The 2014 Ford Fiesta has earned best-in-class highway fuel economy, achieving 41 mpg. This achievement makes the Ford Fiesta the only subcompact car to surpass more than 40 mpg on the highway!

Although the 2014 Fiesta is not being sold in dealerships yet, this achievement is causing excitement. The 2014 model already has been recognized for its amazing performance and fuel efficiency, all in thanks to its aerodynamics and PowerShift six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2014 Ford Fiesta earned best-in-class fuel economy with 41 mpg on the highway, but it also has great mileage in the city at 30 mpg! This works out to be a combined average of 34 mpg, which is great for a subcompact car. As for specifics, the 2014 Ford Fiesta will come with a 1.6L Ti-VCT I-4 engine, electric power-assisted steering, and AdvanceTrac electronic stability control in all Fiesta models. New Ford eWheelDrive Fiesta Prototype

BRIGHTON, Mich.- It seems like every other day automakers are touting a new fuel efficient or electric car technology, but Ford Motor Company has gone above and beyond with their latest tech application. The new Ford eWheelDrive Fiesta prototype was designed in partnership with auto industry supplier Schaeffler and offers a new electric technology unheard of before! Ford Motor Company's new electric car technology propels the vehicle through electric motors located entirely within the wheels of the car. Therefore, the drive wheels don’t need to be connected to a common drivetrain, which creates endless possibilites for the vehicle.

One major advantage is all of the extra space, especially if a flat battery pack is installed along the floor of the car instead of under the hood like in the prototype. Passengers in the new eWheelDrive Fiesta will enjoy a roomier interior. In addition, the demo-vehicle is rear-wheel-drive, but the new technology makes it relatively simple to configure a front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle. However, the most impressive feature available with the new motors is the possibility for sideways parking! With a specially designed suspension, all four wheels have the ability to rotate almost 90 degrees since the drive wheels don’t have to be connected to a common drivetrain! Urban drivers would be able to slip into a parallel parking space perpendicularly!

As you probably guessed, the new Ford eWheelDrive Fiesta prototype is in the early development stages, but Ford Motor Company expects to build two more prototypes by 2015. A 2012 Ford Fiesta Feature Drive Around Brighton, Michigan

BRIGHTON, Mich. Feb. 9, 2012 – Do you remember our 2012 Ford Fiesta Vehicle Review post? Well, we received such great response from it, we decided to take it on a trip around Livingston County and have some fun showing the great features! So join us on a trip around Brighton, Michigan to show the Ford Fiesta’s accessories and capabilities and how to handle the roundabout by the Green Oak Village Place mall.

The 2012 Ford Fiesta is a great car for both young drivers and adults. It has a very affordable price tag, its safe, and it gets exceptional gas mileage. Our trip begins at the Brighton High School parking lot where the passenger gets picked up for an excursion to Costco in Brighton. The driver friendly interface on the center console features large buttons to switch between medias to minimize driver distraction, so the driver can stay focused on the road. Media controls that are mounted on the steering wheel also allow the driver to change songs or stations and adjust volume levels. Equipped with SYNC technology, the Fiesta allows you to connect your phone for hands free calling to keep your eyes and hands off of your cell phone and remain focused on driving. 

After arriving at Costco to do a bit of shopping, we take a quick look around the outside of the Fiesta to show some of the exterior features, like the cap-less Easy Fuel.
