Meet The Brighton Ford Pet Of The Week: DJ

Unless you were blinded from the eclipse earlier this week, it’s real easy to see that DJ is a cute cat in need of his forever home!  Meet the less than a year old boy that wants to earn a spot in your heart.  He’s playful, curious, happy and sure loves attention.  DJ may jump on your lap for a few chin scratches, but then he prefers to play! 

DJ was found with an abcess near his tail that required surgery and time to heal in a foster home before he could be adopted. He’s doing GREAT now and anxious to find his new home and family!  He really has a lot of energy and seem to be ok around other cats, so may enjoy having another young feline playmate in his new home. Think of the fun we could have!

Calling all amazing pet owners!  Two overlooked  superstars waiting for their forever homes!

There’s no rhyme or reason to the length of stay for any dog or cat in the shelter. We guess it takes as long as it takes for their appropriate, forever fabulous family to come forward. So we’re calling all fabulous families to come forward at this time for these two amazing dogs ~ Eastwood and Anya!~  They are both wonderful,  loving,  playful dogs that have been patiently waiting for their special someone to arrive.  If you’re looking for a lifelong companion and someone true blue and loyal beyond words, please come visit either one of these two beautiful dogs as soon as you can!  Anya wants to snuggle and Eastwood wants to play!  Come help them find what they deserve!   Check out all Pets Of The Week that need their forever homes here.

MEET OUR BRIGHTON FORD FAMILY: Trish Devlin, Finance Manager

Trish has worked at Brighton Ford for over 7 years and loves her job!  She loves meeting new customers and getting them approved on their dream vehicles.  Trish’s dream car is Taurus SHO, but she sure loves her brand new F-150 that she got a few months ago too!  Her dream vacation would be to experience the sights and sounds of England in person. 

One funny story that Trish remembers is when her and Jerry Niskar got into a water fight in the Used Car Department before she had skating practice that night, needless to say she was freezing at her practice all night after that water fight.   

Trish is a diehard Detroit Lions fan and looks forward to going to a few games every season to root on her favorite team.  When Trish is not working she enjoys listening to Pentatonix and doing everything with her “Fur babies” Charlotte and Binks.  She works hard to give Charlotte and Binks the best life possible and is very passionate about all pets in general!  Make sure to say “Hi” to Trish next time you are in our dealership and if you would like to share dog stories, then Trish is your go to person at Brighton Ford!

Ford F-Series Is Best Selling Truck For 40 Years

Ford has sold enough F-series trucks to circle the earth more than three times!

The F-series, best known for the popular F-150, has been America's best-selling truck for the 40 consecutive years since its launch. Ford says it's sold more than 26 million since the model line came out in 1977.

The F-series has also been the best-selling vehicle of any kind in America for 35 years, the company said.

Ford has sold 818,580 of the trucks in the years since it launched the F-series. It started with the F-100 as a base truck back in 1977, and replaced it with the F-150 in 1984.

The evolution of the F-series followed changes in how people perceived and used trucks. Like blue jeans, pickup trucks went from being something appropriate only for work to being a style and lifestyle statement of their own.  Americans weren't just using trucks as farm tools anymore, to haul around pigs and hay bales. Trucks were being used increasingly for commuting to office jobs, family trips to Walmart and McDonald's, shuttling the kids to school and tailgate parties at football games.

Brighton Ford has a box that needs to be filled with personal care items for families in need in Livingston County.  Come drop off your donations anytime that our new car showroom is open:
Mon & Thurs: 9am – 9pm

Sat: 9am – 4pm

Our goal is to fill the box with personal care items from August 2nd - 16th, so we can turn drop-off all of the donations to the Livingston County United Way on their annual Day of Caring on August 16th.  All donations should be of new, un-opened personal care items like:

Brighton Ford will have employees helping others at the Day of Caring and encourages your company to do the same.  “Day of Caring is a great example of community togetherness and the purest form of volunteerism,” said Karen Swieczkowski, Brighton Ford’s Community Relations Director.  “We have participated the last 3 years and are looking forward to many more to come!”

The Brighton Ford Pet Of The Week With A Very Special Story

Kyra is a beautiful, sweet, short hair, (spayed) female, chocolate point Siamese mix with orange markings who is only about 2 years old. Kyra was found in rough condition suffering from puncture wounds and Entropion, a very painful eye condition. She is so grateful to be at the Humane Society of Livingston County where she received the love and medical care needed, including eye surgery and some time in a foster home to recover. Kyra is doing so much better now and getting around just great! She is starting to show everyone what a very friendly girl she can be who is quite talkative and would love to sit on your lap! Her vision may be a bit compromised, so she thinks she would prefer a quiet, relaxed home without too much activity or noise that may startle her, but should be ok with nice cats or kids who can respect that.

We do not know how long Kyra suffered from her eye condition or whether her vision will be fully restored, but we do know that she is a very sweet, young girl who is ready to begin her new life in a loving home where she will feel safe and cherished!
