Millennials Fear Other Motorists Driving Dangerously More Than Anything Else

Millennials Fear Other Motorists Driving Dangerously More Than Anything Else

BRIGHTON, Mich. - Many believe that the most common fear among human beings is the fear of public speaking, death or spiders, but when it comes to Millennials, you're wrong: Millennials fear other motorists driving dangerously more than anything else! A new survey released by Ford Motor Co. says that Millennials and Generation Z consumers' top driving fears include backing out onto busy streets, maneuvering into tight parking spaces and monitoring blind spots.

For decades, public speaking has held the top fear spot, as well as spiders. However, younger generations are growing up with completely different fears than their parents or grandparents. Today, younger drivers are more worried about distracted drivers. See the list below:

Top fears for Millennials and Generation Z:

  1. Other motorists driving dangerously (88%)
  2. Public speaking (75%)
  3. Death (74%)
  4. Spiders (69%)
  5. Snakes (69%)

The most worrisome driving conditions for Millennials and Generation Z survey respondents include snowy or icy roads, maneuvering into a tight parking spot, backing out onto a busy street, monitoring blind spots and not knowing where they are going. Millennials fear other motorists driving dangerously more than anything else, and that is why Ford Motor Co. offers technologies that will assist drivers in operating their vehicles as safely as possible. Research shows that 65 percent of respondents are more likely to purchase a vehicle if it has the technology to help with parallel parking.

With technologies like Enhanced Park Assist, Ford is going the extra mile to make sure ALL drivers feel safe and confident in its vehicles. Ford Motor Co. is listening to its customers' wants and needs, and part of what understanding your customers means is using data like this to inform how Ford researches and develops new technologies. Vehicles that offer the Enhanced Park Assist include the Ford Fusion, F-150 and the 2015 Ford EdgeBrighton Ford is located at 8240 Grand River Ave. just north of I-96 in Brighton. We are a family owned and operated business that strives for customer satisfaction. For more information on Brighton Ford visit BrightonFord.com or give us a call at (800) 836-8206.

Ford Motor Company Works Overtime To Meet Demand

Ford Motor Company Works Overtime To Meet Demand

BRIGHTON, Mich. - The Ford Motor Company works overtime to meet demand this summer, as the automaker shortens the summer shutdown to meet demand for Ford F-Series Trucks, Edge, Escape and Explorer models. Due to customer demand, especially with the all-new aluminum based Ford F-150, Ford will add capacity this summer to produce its most popular models. Ford plans on shortening the summer shutdown from the traditional two-weeks to one week for the majority of North American assembly plants, which will increase production by up to 40,000 units.

In April, sales were up over 70 percent for the Ford Edge, and the Ford F-150 was turning over after just 20 days on dealer lots while the Escape and Explorer remained in very tight supply. The demand for Ford Motor Company's trucks and utility vehicles continues to trend upward and this is the third straight year the automative dealer has had to keep plants open during the summer shutdown in order to meet the strong demand. Assembly plants being shut down include Chicago, Dearborn Truck, Kansas City, Louisville and Oakville. The power-train and stamping plants taking a reduced summer shutdown this year also include: Livonia Transmission; Rawsonville Transmission; Sharonville Transmission; Sterling Axle; Buffalo Stamping; Chicago Stamping; Dearborn Consolidated; Kansas City Stamping and Woodhaven Stamping.

Due to such a high demand for trucks and utility vehicles, Ford Motor Company is working overtime to meet demand this summer. Over the past few years, Ford has invested $6.2 billion and added more than 15,000 jobs in stateside facilities to help meet consumer demand for its newest products. You can bet that we'll keep the great trucks, utilities, crossovers and cars coming all summer long here at Brighton FordBrighton Ford is located at 8240 Grand River Ave. just north of I-96 in Brighton. We are a family owned and operated business that strives for customer satisfaction.

Four Ways You Can Get Free Donuts On National Donut Day

Four Ways You Can Get Free Donuts On National Donut Day

BRIGHTON, Mich. - As far as fake, or "Hallmark", holidays go, National Donut Day has to be our favorite! National Donut Day is held on the first Friday in June, so that means tomorrow, June 5th, is the day for FREE DONUTS! What many people do-nut know (see what we did there?) is that this holiday has been celebrated since World War 1, when the Salvation Army would provide donuts to soldiers on the front lines in Europe. Fast forward 90+ years and National Donut Day lives on, and we are definitely NOT complaining about it! Here are four ways you can get free donuts on National Donut Day:

  1. Dunkin Donuts.  To celebrate the national treasure that this holiday is, Dunkin Donuts plans on giving a free donut of your choice with every purchase of a beverage tomorrow. May we suggest the glorified croissant donut? Or the classic chocolate frosted? Either way, you'd better get there quickly because, of course, this free donut with purchase is "while supplies last".
  2. Krispy Kreme. All hail the perfection that is the Krispy Kreme donut! Tomorrow feel free to stop in for a completely free donut from Krispy Kreme! Whether it's powdered, creme filled or the classic hot Original Glazed, no purchase is necessary! The closest locations to Brighton Ford are Allen Park and Troy, but you DEFINITELY want to give yourself plenty of time to get through the line or make sure you get there early.
  3. Tim Hortons. For Canada's favorite coffee place, you have to download THIS coupon and present it to receive your free donut. The good news? The free donut is FILLED WITH NUTELLA! I repeat, filled with the gooey goodness that is NUTELLA!
  4. Brighton Donuts. This is a Brighton Ford favorite! We just got off the phone with the manager and she said that they will be giving away a free donut with any beverage purchase tomorrow. The original glazed are definitely an office favorite here! Check them out on Grand River, and remember, get there early.
There you have it! Four ways you can get FREE donuts on National Donut Day. We have to say this day is one of our favorite holidays here at Brighton Ford! Looking for a great vehicle that can fit TONS of donut boxes in the back seat? Check out the award-winning Ford Edge, one of the most highly anticipated cross-overs of the year.
