2015 Expedition Earns 5-Star Safety Rating from the NHTSA

BRIGHTON, Mich. - The most efficient and powerful Expedition to date has officially been named one of the safest vehicles out on the road. Ford's 2015 Expedition earned a 5-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in its New Car Assessment Program - an evaluation program for new vehicle designs to test performance against safety threats.

The 2015 Expedition earned a 5-star safety rating from the NHTSA and all for good reason! Along with a variety of standard safety features offered on the Expedition, Ford is providing customers with some fresh technology! New to the full-size utility vehicle is the radar-based Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert, which helps to detect when a vehicle is in a driver's blind spot by flashing a warning light in the respective sideview mirror. Some other new additions to the nameplate include the standard rearview camera, keyless entry with push-button start, and front and rear parking sensors. 

While customers are most impressed with the 2015 Expedition's new stylish design and interior, they'll also be happy to know that the new Ford Expedition still offers a myriad of their favorite standard safety and driver-assist features. AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control, Safety Canopy® side-curtain airbags, SOS Post-Crash Alert System, a tire pressure monitoring system, and traction control will remain on the 2015 Expedition to help keep drivers and occupants safe.

Ford Showcases Innovative Ways at 2015 NAIAS

BRIGHTON, Mich. - If you plan on attending the 2015 North American International Auto Show this week, we can assure you that you are in for a huge treat! Ford Motor Company is showcasing their innovative ways at the 2015 NAIAS by highlighting new technology and performance vehicles in their display. 

When you attend the 2015 NAIAS, you should definitely plan to spend a decent chunk of your time at the Ford display. Along with debuting three new performance vehicles at the show, the Ford GT, Shelby GT350R, and F-150 Raptor, Ford is also showcasing their innovative ways by introducing not one, not two, but THREE new displays in their exhibit. The displays range from an Enthusiasts' Gallery featuring vintage photos of amazing moments in Ford racing history to an "Innovation Park" that shows visitors how Ford researchers are using organic materials, reducing waste, and using other environmentally sensitive technologies. 

Innovation Park encourages attendees to explore how Ford researchers are working to include water and plant elements to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and water usage. The exhibit is decorated with trees, perennials, soils, and water features from the Henry Ford Fairlane Estate, creating a very relaxing atmosphere for visitors! After you recharge your batteries at Innovation Park, head over to the EcoBoost display and see a gallery of all seven of Ford's fuel-saving EcoBoost engines. There are even racing games for guests to play that are themed around "Eco" and "Boost". 

Lastly, visitors can make their way to the Enthusiasts' Gallery where Ford and Revell® will be giving away special limited-edition F-150 Raptor model kits. The FREE collectable model kit allows for kids to build and play with their very own mini Raptor model! The 2015 NAIAS will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. starting Saturday, January 17th through Saturday, January 24th and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 25th.

Ford's Next-Generation SVT Raptor is an Off-Roading Beast

BRIGHTON, Mich. - Meet the newest member of Ford Motor Company's F-150 lineup, the all-new SVT Raptor. Ford's Next-Generation SVT Raptor is an off-roading beast and without a doubt the top-performing off-roading pickup in the lineup. Ford engineers have tweaked every single part of the F-150 Raptor to ensure that it is the toughest, smartest, most capable off-roader out there.

It's so strong and tough, you just won't be able to get enough! Ford's Next-Generation SVT Raptor features the strongest frame in the F-150 lineup, which is made up of more high-strength steel and has reduced the truck's weight by more than 500 pounds to improve performance and capability. The all-new Raptor has Ford's new, second-generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine under the hood, which produces 411 horsepower and 434 lb. -ft. of torque! 

The truck will also have a 10-speed transmission and an all-new four-wheel-drive, torque-on-demand transfer case, with an advanced, easier-to-use version of off-road mode driver-assist technology (say that 5 times fast). A few calibration changes have been made to the Raptor's power train, driveline, traction control, ABS, and AdvanceTrac stability control to enhance performance. There are actually SIX preset modes for the truck depending on the weather and terrain:

• Normal mode for everyday driving

• Street mode for higher-performance, on-road driving

• Weather mode for rain, snow or ice

• Mud and sand mode for muddy and sandy trails and terrain

• Baja mode for high-speed desert running

• Rock mode for low-speed rock crawling

Ford's all-new SVT Raptor is more capable than ever and has been redesigned with larger FOX Racing Shox for more suspension travel and terrain management technology. This baby will surely be able to tackle even the toughest terrains in America - from the Mojave Desert to Michigan snow. The all-new Raptor will be built at the Dearborn Truck Plant and go on sale in Fall 2016.

What Can We Expect from the All-New 2016 Ford Focus RS?

BRIGHTON, Mich. - The 2015 North American International Auto Show is nearly here, which means it is time we mentally prepare ourselves for all of the mind-blowing innovations that Ford Motor Company has in store for us. Now, what exactly can we expect from the all-new 2016 Ford Focus RS? Let's just say, this model is said to come with a list of much stronger credentials than the previous model that was first launched in 2002. The word on the street is that the 2016 Ford Focus RS will have the 2015 Mustang's 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine underneath the hood, you know the one that produces 330 horsepower, and have the capability to hit a speed of 155 miles per hour!

This all-new technology will be demonstrated at the 2015 International CES in Las Vegas starting today, January 6th.

Ford will be covering all the marketing bases, spreading F-150 messages over a variety of communication platforms. With the all-new F-150 being the toughest, smartest, and most capable of its kind, you can't blame Ford for wanting to spread  the word all over every media outlet.

Ford customers and fanatics have thought about, heard about, and read about the 2015 F-150 for many, many months now. First Shelby GT350 Mustang to be Auctioned at Barrett-Jackson

BRIGHTON, Mich. - In light of five decades of success, Ford has decided to send the first production unit of the Shelby GT350 home with one lucky bidder. The very first Shelby GT350 Mustang will be auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson Auction on January 17th in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Ford Motor Company's first Shelby GT350 Mustang will be auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson Auction with all proceeds benefitting JDRF. Ford has been a supporter of JDRF, the country's leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research, since 1983. To show their appreciation for the donation to the organization, all Ford team members who were apart of the Shelby GT350's design and development will sign the pony car.

Along with the Shelby GT350 auction, Ford will also have their 2015 vehicle lineup at the event, including the new Mustang, F-150, and Expedition, for ride-and-drives. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience a few "hot laps" with professional drivers from Miller Motorsports Park in the Shelby American-built GT500 Super Snake and Shelby Focus ST.
