Drivers will be able to pay for a parking space with an on-file credit or debit card, which completely eliminates the need to touch their mobile phone while driving. Avoiding the need to swipe a card or feed coins into a meter, Parkmobile makes the parking experience easy.
Parkmobile users will use Ford's advanced voice recognition system and SYNC AppLink interface to provide drivers with a simple and secure method of paying for parking from their vehicle. There will be no need to dig through your pockets or purse for loose change to feed the meter. Drivers are able to activate the Parkmobile app installed on an Android-based or iOS smartphone paired to SYNC.
Though it varies from location to location, drivers can receive a reminder to their smartphone 15 minutes prior to the expiration of their parking session. They gives drivers time to extend their parking session if they haven't already exceeded the maximum time allowed.
Ford is thrilled to add the Parkmobile app to Ford SYNC® AppLink™. Parkmobile takes something every driver does and uses technology to make it that much easier. The SYNC AppLink is available on more than 1.5 million Ford vehicles including Fiesta, Mustang, Edge, Explorer, Flex, Expedition, Transit Connect, Fusion, Taurus, F-150, Super Duty, Focus, E-Series and C-MAX hybrids.
