2015 Ford Mustang Receives Highest Safety Rating from NHTSA

2015 Ford Mustang Receives Highest Safety Rating from NHTSA
BRIGHTON, Mich. - We have to say, we could have seen this one coming. Did anyone really expect the most advanced and powerful Mustang ever to be equipped with anything but top-of-the-line safety features? The 2015 Ford Mustang received the highest vehicle safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, earning a five-star Overall Vehicle Score in the New Car Assessment Program testing.

The New Car Assessment Program at the NHTSA is an evaluation program that has been developed for new vehicle designs to test their performance against different safety threats. The 2015 Ford Mustang breezed through the frontal, side, and rollover crash tests, earning five star scores in all three tests. With the all-new Mustang containing twice as many airbags, twice as many peripheral crash sensors, and pretensioning safety belt technology, who could expect anything less from the iconic pony car?

A variety of standard safety features offered inside of the 2015 Ford Mustang also helped it to receive the highest vehicle safety rating from the NHTSA.  Ford has equipped the all-new Mustang with innovative semi-autonomous technologies like Adaptive Cruise Control, BLIS® Cross-Traffic Alert, and SYNC 911 Assist to further enhance the safety of drivers and occupants.
