With these improvements the F-450 acquired a J2807-certified maximum tow rating that is 2,200 pounds greater than its closest competitor's crew cab 4x4 pickup.

Fusion, Explorer & Escape Help Ford Earn Best July Results in Eight Years

BRIGHTON, Mich - With a total of 212,236 vehicles sold and a 10 percent sales increase, the Fusion, Explorer and Escape helped Ford earn their best July results in eight years. Both Ford and Lincoln had positive gains across the board in all major vehicle segments. Not only did Ford's F-Series surpass the 60,000 vehicle sales mark, but Ford has also seen great initial demand for the recently launched Transit Connect, Transit Connect Wagon and the Lincoln MKC as vehicle availability begins to increase. 

The Ford Fusion contributed to Ford's success by setting an all-time monthly sales record with a 17 percent gain and 23, 942 vehicles sold. Ford Escape had its best July with a 19 percent sales increase and Ford Explorer had a 32 percent sales gain with 16, 797 vehicles sold - the Explorer's best July since 2005. Lincoln, whose sales improved by 14 percent last month, is continuing to work to expand the stock of Lincoln MKCs after an impressive 1,534 of the models were sold in July.

It will suit a variety of customer needs, whether they are up-country or in the city. 

As mentioned before, the new design stays true to Ford cues, but is also sleek and refined to contrast the striking technical details. The headlamps on the Everest are smaller than the typical SUV headlight and connect to the trapezoidal grille. The back of the vehicle has "negative scallop" taillamps and a strong design that is not usually found on SUVs. The Everest has high ground clearance, perfect for off-roading, which truly conveys its fun-to-drive persona. The reveal of the Everest Concept and the new take on the mid-size SUVs is just the start of Ford's plan of expansion to showrooms all across the ASEAN region.

Ford Motor Company's MyEnergi Lifestyle shows homeowners how they can save money on appliances and fuel through energy-efficient living. This 2.0 version demonstrates the benefits of integrating additional tools, such as storing energy within the home after it is captured by solar panels. With this, customers will have more ways to improve their energy usage and have power they can utilize to keep their homes running during outages.

At the 2014 International CES, Ford is announcing an energy storage system from Sharp as an example of what customers would be able to use. Battery storage will help homeowners enhance their energy footprint by adjusting when energy is used. The battery storage component will make it easier for homeowners to store their own energy and in turn, save more money.

MyEnergi Lifestyle is a Ford Motor Company collaboration with Eaton, Infineon, SunPower and Whirlpool. Ford worked closely with researchers from Georgia Institute of Technology to develop a computer model that calculates electricity usage of a typical single family in their home for one year, and the related savings with come with an energy-efficient lifestyle. Studies have shown that if every home in the United States were to implement these energy-saving technologies, it would be comparable to taking all the homes in New York, Texas, and California, which is roughly 32 million homes, off the power grid. Amazing, isn't it?

Two families participated in the MyEnergi Lifestyle program and started to see huge savings. Susan Berry and family from Southern California, expects to save more than $300 annually from their solar panel system which offsets more than 70 percent of the energy used in their home. The Sattler family in Colorado had their home retrofitted in December and expect to save $135 per year with their new energy-efficient Whirlpool freezer!
