This Spicy Cat is Waiting to be Adopted

Hi there my name is Chili Pepper and I’m pretty spicy! I take my time to get to know new people and will slowly warm up. Once I am comfy I would love to cuddle up and watch a good movie. I am always up for some good play time and am very active! I would love a home with lots of toys and people to entertain me. I’m a beautiful female 2 year old domestic short hair with a black and white coat.

WELCOME TO BRIGHTON FORD: Scott Pratt, New & Used Car Sales

I make my home in Fowlerville, however, my roots in Livingston County run deep. Before moving to Fowlerville, I've lived most of my life in Brighton. I am married to an amazing person who puts up with me. We have 5 dogs (Razor, Octane, Marley, Stone and Fuel). In addition to selling Ford cars and trucks, I enjoy working on our farm and spending time with my family. My wife and I raise turkeys, chickens, ducks and geese. We also grow a large vegetable garden each year and harvest fruit from our fruit trees. When I can make time, I also enjoy hunting, fishing and riding my ATV...

Ian The Abandoned Cat Is Ready For Adoption!

Hi, my name is Ian! I'm a handsome FRONT DECLAWED domestic short hair orange tabby. I was abandoned in a carrier at the front door of this place and at first I was very scared...what was going to happen to me? Luckily, the people here are really nice! They've promised me a brighter future and they've been taking great care of me. They think I am around 6 years old! I am super sweet and playful once I come out of my shell. I am looking for a safe home indoors where I am able to love again!

‘Champion for Children’ Nominations Now Open

Do you know someone who goes above and beyond?

The Great Start Collaborative and LACASA Center’s CAP (Child Abuse Prevention) Council are asking Livingston County residents to consider who is a Champion for Children in our community.
“We want to recognize the people in our community who go above and beyond to positively impact children’s lives.” said CAP Council Coordinator, Holly Naylor.

“Anyone can make a tremendous impact towards ensuring that Livingston County children grow up safe, healthy and ready to succeed in life simply by living their lives in a way that builds up children and families,” Naylor said. “We want to recognize those individuals and thank them for their dedication to our children.”

Nominees may be a person whose love of children is evident in the work they do, or in the way they spend their extra time. The winner could be someone who volunteers to mentor children, provides a safe foster care home, or advocates for vulnerable kids. Past recipients have been educators, coaches, public employees, foster parents, child care providers, and community volunteers

“Great Start Livingston is partnering with the CAP Council to recognize our Champion for Children,” said Robin Schutz, Great Start Livingston coordinator. “Supporting families and children is the focus of our efforts. With this award, we are able to acknowledge those who work tirelessly to make a difference for our Livingston County children and families.”

The person chosen as the 2018 Champion for Children will be recognized during a special luncheon in April following the CAP Council’s annual Plant a Pinwheel Celebration. All award nominees will be invited to the luncheon.
