The U.S. government has a collection of standards and regulations that require car companies to design the glass to shatter into tiny pieces (as opposed to shards) so that the glass doesn't harm the vehicle's occupants. Despite the requirements for the windshield, there are no laws that require your sunroof, side windows, or back windows to have the same type of glass. This means that your side windows and sunroof can leave you unprotected and vulnerable to the sun's harmful rays. Vehicles such as the Ford Mustang, however, come standard with a laminated glass sunroof and more. These laminated windows improve the UV protection in your vehicle and help keep your car cool.

Next-Generation Mustangs to be Limited Edition 2014 1/2 Models

BRIGHTON, Mich. - It appears to be the year of the Mustang at Ford Motor Company, as a Hertz limited-edition Ford Mustang GT was just released; a one-of-a-kind 2014 Mustang GT went to charity; AND a 2014 'Stang is starring in an animated movie, out this month. Now Ford has announced that the first 1,000 next-generation Mustangs will be limited-edition 2014 1/2 models, in honor of the car's 50th anniversary.

This 2014 1/2 model will be the first mustang based on the next generation S550 platform. It is sure to be a collectors' item, as it will have a unique VIN and build number. The 2014 1/2 Mustang will most likely have a 5.0L V8 engine that will produce 450 horsepower - if you're looking for big upgrades from the 2013-2014 models, the 2015 Mustang will be the vehicle you want to wait for. Ford Mustang to Star in 2014 'Need for Speed' DreamWorks' Movie

BRIGHTON, Mich. - DreamWorks Studios has announced that a custom made Ford Mustang will star in their 2014 'Need for Speed' movie. Scheduled to be released March 14, 2014, both Ford and DreamWorks are excited about the collaboration.

According to the DreamWorks 'Need for Speed' website, the movie is based off of a driving game where a street racer, fresh from prison after being framed, becomes a part of a cross country race out of revenge. Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul has been cast in the lead role, while Michael Keaton and Kid Cudi are just a few of the names that will play alongside him.

As for where the Ford Mustang plays a part in this action packed film, the custom Ford Mustang will star in the 2014 'Need for Speed' movie as Aaron Paul's vehicle of choice. The custom Mustang has unique 22-inch alloy wheels, and larger air intakes for the supercharged V8 engine. It is sure to be an action packed car, for an even more exciting action movie.

Speculation Over Leaked 2015 Ford Mustang Pictures

BRIGHTON, Mich.- Leaked photographs revealing what very well may be the 2015 Ford Mustang  are stirring up conversation about the iconic American muscle car across the web. Ford aficionados passionate about the Mustang are anticipating the release of the sixth-generation version and are curious as to where Ford's design team is going with this particular revamp.  

The photos that have been released are widely available on the internet and show clay mock-ups that are believed to hint at the final version. The models presented are consistent with some of the classical notions of the Mustang; although, it would appear that the photographs show a model that encompasses the old Mustang concept and builds on it to achieve something a bit more clean and modern. The 2015 Mustang is expected for release sometime in 2014 and may possibly coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang in April 2014.

Shelby Mustang GT350 Debut History

BRIGHTON, Mich.- This week in classic American muscle car history, we celebrate the Shelby Mustang GT350 Debut. On January 27, 1965, Shelby American introduced the first GT350 Mustang at a press event in Riverside, California. It was on that day that Shelby started a long history of high-performance, souped-up Ford Mustang madness. Carroll Shelby made the ultimate pony car history but putting bigger engines into smaller, lightweight cars.

Beginning its life as a stock Mustang, the future American classic received upgraded modifications like high-riser manifolds, larger rear drum brakes, and swapped Ford Falcon rear axles for heavy-duty Ford Galaxie rear axles at Shelby American in Venice, CA. Most importantly, the 1965 Shelby received a bigger, 4.7L V8 engine that produced an impressive 306 hp! The Shelby Mustang GT350, a performance variant of the stock Ford Mustang, offered incredibly more power and race-car tuning than any stock Mustang could offer.
