5 Awesome Tailgating Dip Recipes

BRIGHTON, Mich. - Football season is in full swing which means fans across the country will be coming together to tailgate and get excited for their favorite teams to take the field. While we are sure that tailgating is a fun experience no matter what, nobody knows how to tailgate like the people of Michigan! To make your already great tailgate celebration a little more delicious, we've come up with 5 awesome tailgating dip recipes that are sure to blow the minds of fellow fans and rivals alike.

5 Awesome Tailgating Dip Recipes1. Brown Sugar Cinnamon Fruit Dip. For those times when you need something sweet to dip your fruit in, this dip is super easy which means you can keep your attention on prepping for the football game and not prepping your food. You'll need:

  • 1 bar (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • A dash of nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
All you need to do for this dip is mix it well into a bowl and make sure that the dip is smooth. Once it's well mixed, you can serve it with fruit, graham crackers, or whatever else you think will taste best!

2. Pizza Dip. Everyone loves pizza which is why this dip is always a hit! You'll need:
  • 1 bar (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 1/4 cup sweet onion, diced
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • Your favorite pizza toppings
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, you'll want to combine the cream cheese, mayo, 1 cup mozzarella, parmesan, garlic powder, ground red pepper, and sweet onion. Spread the mixture in the bottom of a 10-12 inch oven proof pan and pour the pizza sauce over the mixture. Scatter your choice of toppings over the sauce and then top with the other cup of mozzarella cheese. This dip you'll want to bake for 25-30 minutes and serve with chunks of bread or crackers. Yum!

3. Hot Spinach and Bacon Dip. I think we can all agree that bacon makes everything tastes better. That's why everyone will love this spinach and bacon dip! You'll need:

Bake for 20-25 minutes and serve with crackers, chips, or whatever kind of snack you like.

4. Chicken Dip. This dip looks way more complicated than it is, making it perfect for tailgating parties. Your friends and family will think you worked hard on preparing food for them, while secretly you can enjoy knowing it was a breeze to make - we won't tell! You'll need:
  • 2 cup chicken, shredded
  • 1 bar (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Then mix all of the ingredients, except for the cheddar cheese, until they are well combined. Spoon the mixture into an oven-safe dish and top with the cheddar cheese and then bake for 20 minutes. It's that easy! We recommend serving with Fritos, but you can use whatever you like best!

5 Awesome Tailgating Dip Recipes5. Blueberry Chipotle Dip. As weird as this dip sounds, the mixture of sweet and spicy is delicious! Not to mention it's a low cal dip that will let you save your calories for other tailgating snacks. You'll need:

  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
