Production of Shelby Ford Mustang GT350 Will Stop After 2014

Production of Shelby Ford Mustang GT350 Will Stop After 2014
BRIGHTON, Mich. - It has been officially announced that production of the Shelby Ford Mustang GT350 will stop after the 2014 model. Orders for the customized Mustang will be taken through the end of the year, but stopped after the 2014 Mustang.

When asked why production will be ceasing, the president of Shelby American stated that it needs to keep the Shelby GT350 limited. One of the biggest appeals of buying a Shelby Ford Mustang GT350 is that it is a limited production vehicle that is highly valuable and collectible.  By stopping production of the GT350, Shelby American can ensure that their vehicles stay valuable and limited.

The first Shelby GT350 debuted on January 27, 1965 in Riverside, CA. The release of this vehicle was a great moment in automobile history, since it was the first time that a bigger engine was put into a small, lightweight car.

The current Shelby Ford Mustang GT350 has come a long way since the first - considered to have the most powerful production V8 engine on earth, this vehicle is a dream to drive. It has a 5.8L DOHC 32-valve V8 engine that can produce 662 hp and 631 lb.-ft. of torque.

Although the production of the Shelby Ford Mustang GT350 will stop after 2014, there's still time to get one of these collectible vehicles. The Ford F-150 Gets Batman Makeover

The Ford F-150 Gets Batman Makeover
BRIGHTON, Mich. - If you're a Batman fan, this new redesigned Ford is one that you're going to love. The Ford F-150 gets a Batman makeover for the 2013 Comic-Con convention in San Diego this week, and while it isn't called the Batmobile 2.0, it has been proudly dubbed the 'Crime Fighter'.

The great thing about the Ford F-150 getting a Batman makeover is that it's available for purchase by the public! For an additional $30,000, anyone can own an F-150 that is crime fighting worthy. The Ford in the picture above is a 2012 F-150 XLT Supercab two-wheel-drive truck with a 5.9-liter V8 engine. This specific truck costs about $60,000 and has beautiful modifications that any superhero lover would enjoy. The wings on the back of the vehicle are made of thick steel which means that nothing
about this Ford F-150 is delicate.
The Ford F-150 Gets Batman Makeover
The original Batmobile was also a Ford, as it was actually a modified 1955 Lincoln. Due to time and money constraints, the designers of the original Batmobile thought it would be easier to modify an existing car as opposed to creating a new one. The Batmobile used in the 1960s TV series recently sold at an auction in Scottsdale, AZ for $4.6 million.

The Ford F-150 is a great vehicle with or without the Batman modifications. If you'd like to take a look at all the specifications of this built Ford tough pickup, check out our 2013 Ford F-150 Brochure. If you have any questions or would just like to take it for a test drive, stop by our New Hudson Area Ford Dealership. Ford Fiesta is Supreme Winner of Women's World Car of the Year Title

Ford Fiesta is Supreme Winner of Women's World Car of the Year Title
BRIGHTON, Mich. - The Ford Fiesta is the supreme winner of the Women's World Car of the Year title! The popular car emerged as the obvious winner in the Women's World Car of the Year competition, as various women motoring writers voted the vehicle number one in the economy car category. The judges also voted the Fiesta as the overall supreme winner award!

Each judge tested various 2013 model year cars and were then asked to use a three-tier voting system to determine the winner of each category. Categories ranged from Best Economy Car (Ford Fiesta) to Best Sports Car to Best Family Car. Each judge was then asked to rank the cars in the order that they preferred after the test drive, which were used to determine the supreme winner.

The Women's World Car of the Year awards is a competition that was formed to reflect the preferences of women buyers throughout the world. This competition is unique because it is the only international motoring award in the world that is voted on by women, for women. Women also represent a huge part of the market, so to win the supreme winner award means to capture the attention of this powerful and influential buying group.

The 2014 Ford Fiesta has also recently won the best-in-class fuel economy award, getting up to 41 mpg on the highway. This is possible because of the car's 1.6L Ti-VCT I-4 engine, electric power-assisted steering, and AdvanceTrac electronic stability control.

Ford Fiesta is the supreme winner of the Women's World Car of the Year title, meaning it's worth it to see what this great compact car has to offer. You can check out our 2013 Ford Fiesta Brochure or stop in at our New Hudson Area Ford Dealer to check out our various Ford Cars For Sale and Certified Preowned Cars. 9 Fun Facts About Fourth of July

9 Fun Facts About Fourth of July

BRIGHTON, Mich. - The Fourth of July is an important day in American history, as it represents the day that Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This document declared independence from Great Britain and, essentially, was the birth of our country. So to celebrate this great day, let's take a look at 9 fun facts about the Fourth of July:

1. The Fourth of July was not actually considered a holiday until 1941.

2. Benjamin Franklin originally suggested that our national bird be a turkey, but was overruled. With turkey being the star of Thanksgiving, we can't imagine it would go over too well to cook our national bird every year.

3. Around 150 million hot dogs are believed to be consumed on this day.

4. The Declaration of Independence was signed by 56 men from 13 colonies.

5. In 1776, around 2.5 million people were living in United States - today, there are over 311 million.

6. The "Star Spangled Banner" was actually a poem written by Francis Scott Key. It was later put to music but wasn't the official national anthem until 1931.

7. The sale of fireworks has increased by 700 percent over the last 35 years, but injuries are down by 90 percent.

8. The 2nd of July is the day that Congress voted for independence - making it the real Independence Day. However, they didn't complete the written document until the 4th. The Fourth of July was printed at the top of the document and was widely circulated, making everyone believe that the 4th is the actual day of Independence.

9. John Hancock wrote his name twice the size of any of the other signers and also added a flourish. It's said that he did this so that King George III would be able to read his signature without glasses.

As you celebrate this momentous moment in our country's history, we hope you take a moment to enjoy these 9 fun facts about Fourth of July with your friends and family. We have a truly beautiful and rich history - one that is great to share!

Special 2014 Mustang GT Going to Charity

Special 2014 Mustang GT Going to Charity
BRIGHTON, Mich. - Ford has created a special 2014 Mustang GT that will go to auction for charity at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture Oshkosh event. This special Mustang was created for the 60th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and is truly incredible.

With a 5.0-liter V8 engine that has been supercharged, this Mustang can go from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds. It has custom 22-inch Forgiato wheels, sill plates, and unique puddle lamps that project the aircraft silhouette as opposed to the standard Mustang logo. It also has VIN 0001 meaning it's the first and only one of it's kind.

Although Ford has created special cars before, this special 2014 Mustang GT is going to charity. Expected to be auctioned off on August 1st, all proceeds from this auction will benefit the EAA Young Eagles Program which gives kids an opportunity to go flying. This program works to introduce young people to the aviation world, hoping to encourage them to continue with aviation as a career. Last time a Mustang was auctioned off for Charity was in 2008 and the final bid was for $500,000.

While this vehicle is one of a kind and only for auction, we do have a great selection of 2013 Mustangs that are sure to give you a one of a kind experience.
