BRIGHTON, Mich. - Can you believe it's almost JULY!? We can't, we felt like it was just yesterday when we were hauling our ice scrapers out to the driveway every morning. The ice is gone, however, and now the sun doesn't set until sometime after 9 p.m. With it so close to July, many of your are making your Independence Day plans and if those plans keep you in the Brighton area, here are a list of things to do around Brighton on the 4th of July!

You can bet that Brighton Ford will be there, suppling the 2 vehicles for the Grand Marshalls, as well as rolling through the parade with several cars, trucks and the Brighton Ford Army Truck! The parade will begin at the corner of Main and Church St. at 10:00 a.m., so remember to get there early to claim the best seats! We'll see ya there!
- Detroit Tigers vs. Toronto Blue Jays - 7/4 Detroit, Mich. Catch the Motor City Kitties take on the Blue Jays down at Comerica Park for a 4th of July day game, starting at 1:08pm. Bring the family to a classic Independence Day celebration with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra that's as full of freedom-loving fanfare as they come! The fact that each night there is a joint concert from the D.S.O and the United States Army Field Band! If you stick around for the grand finale, there is a concert, PLUS authentic cannon fire and a spectacular fireworks display accompanied by live patriotic music!
- Whitmore Lake Fireworks - 7/3 Whitmore Lake, Mich. Bring the lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray and head on out to Whitmore Lake's Fireworks on Friday, July 3rd!
