Four Ways You Can Get Free Donuts On National Donut Day

BRIGHTON, Mich. - As far as fake, or "Hallmark", holidays go, National Donut Day has to be our favorite! National Donut Day is held on the first Friday in June, so that means tomorrow, June 5th, is the day for FREE DONUTS! What many people do-nut know (see what we did there?) is that this holiday has been celebrated since World War 1, when the Salvation Army would provide donuts to soldiers on the front lines in Europe. Fast forward 90+ years and National Donut Day lives on, and we are definitely NOT complaining about it! Here are four ways you can get free donuts on National Donut Day:

1. Dunkin Donuts.  To celebrate the national treasure that this holiday is, Dunkin Donuts plans on giving a free donut of your choice with every purchase of a beverage tomorrow. May we suggest the glorified croissant donut? Or the classic chocolate frosted? Either way, you'd better get there quickly because, of course, this free donut with purchase is "while supplies last". 
2. Krispy Kreme. All hail the perfection that is the Krispy Kreme donut! Tomorrow feel free to stop in for a completely free donut from Krispy Kreme! Whether it's powdered, creme filled or the classic hot Original Glazed, no purchase is necessary! The closest locations to Brighton Ford are Allen Park and Troy, but you DEFINITELY want to give yourself plenty of time to get through the line or make sure you get there early. 
3. Tim Hortons. For Canada's favorite coffee place, you have to download THIS coupon and present it to receive your free donut. The good news? The free donut is FILLED WITH NUTELLA! I repeat, filled with the gooey goodness that is NUTELLA! 
4. Brighton Donuts. This is a Brighton Ford favorite! We just got off the phone with the manager and she said that they will be giving away a free donut with any beverage purchase tomorrow. The original glazed are definitely an office favorite here! Check them out on Grand River, and remember, get there early.
