Ford Adds 450 New Jobs, Investing $200 million

Ford Adds 450 New Jobs, Investing $200 million
BRIGHTON, Mich.- With the increasing demand for vehicles like the Ford Fusion and Escape, Ford's production of the 2.0-Liter EcoBoost is maxed out. Which means, it's time to grow with the demand, and that's exactly what Ford Motor Company is doing. The 2.0-Liter EcoBoost engine which is currently produced in Spain, will move production to the United States. Ford is investing $200 million in its Cleveland Engine Plant and adding 450 workers!

Cleveland Engine Plant No. 1 is adding a third shift to meet demand for the EcoBoost engine in both Ford cars and trucks. Some of the 450 new positions will be filled by employees transferring from Cleveland Engine Plant No. 2 and the rest will be filled by new hires. Ford investing $200 million and adding 450 new jobs puts the automaker halfway to their goal of adding 12,000 hourly workers in the United States by 2015.
