2015 Ford F-150 Just Received A Five-Star Safety Rating

2015 Ford F-150 Just Received A Five-Star Safety Rating
BRIGHTON, Mich. – When Ford initially announced that the 2015 F-150 was switching from an all-steel frame to aluminum, many auto insiders were worried about how this would effective the safety ratings of Ford’s number 1 selling truck. However, the 2015 Ford F-150 just received a five-star safety rating! This is the highest safety rating possible from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and Ford certainly has reason to celebrate! The 2015 F-150 proved a hard nut to crack, and beat out all other steel body vehicles. Ford’s previous 2014 all steel F-150 was only able to nab four stars in these awards last season.

Ford’s VP, Raj Nair quoted: “The 2015 model is engineered to be the safest F-150 ever, which matters to customers who depend on this truck not only to get the job done, but also to get them safely home.” Early in January the new F-150 was crowned the 2015 Truck of the year, and has been the talk of the entire industry since it was premiered. This truck hit the market at the perfect time, with gas prices hitting an all-time low, and the model also proved to be a performance monster after it passed the retooling process.

The all new 2015 Ford F-150 just received a five-star safety rating, surprising the entire automotive industry in the process and blowing the competition out of the water. The new aluminum frame is so much lighter, thus giving the truck a better fuel economy.  The new F-150 is also loaded with 31 added safety-features, which aided the vehicle to impress NHTSA crash-test examiners.

  1. That's a really big deal with a car can receive a five star rating. It would be super interesting to read what exactly the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) uses to evaluate a five star rating. I am not too well versed with cars, but I was wondering if the cars come out of the manufacturer with zero miles on them and a less than five star rating?
